Frequently asked Questions

What is waxing and how does it work?

Waxing is a method of hair removal that involves applying wax to the skin and removing it quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth. The wax adheres to the hair and pulls it out from the root.

Is waxing painful?

Waxing can be uncomfortable especially for first-time waxers or those with sensitive skin. The pain is temporary and the discomfort only lasts for a couple of seconds after each strip is removed. I have many years experience in waxing and do everything i can to minimise any discomfort. It does get easier the more often you wax. As the amount of hair becomes much less if you keep to a regular waxing routine of about every four weeks. although some people can go a little longer. but the average is every four weeks.

How long does waxing last?

Waxing lasts for several weeks, but how long exactly depends on the person’s hair growth cycle and how fast their hair grows back. Typically, waxing can last anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.

How often should I get waxed?

It’s recommended to get waxed every 4-6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. This allows enough time for new hair to grow back and for the waxing process to effectively remove all the hair.

Hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect the sensitivity of the skin, making waxing uncomfortable or painful. i prefer to wait untill after the twelve week scan. to ensure that the pregnancy is a healthy one.

Can I wax if I have sensitive skin?

Yes, but it’s important to inform your waxing specialist of any skin sensitivity or allergies you may have. They can use a gentle wax and apply soothing lotions or creams to minimize any discomfort or irritation.

Is there any post-waxing care that I need to follow?
